Apologies for not getting a report to you last week guys i was actually away from my pc until wednesday
So 2 weeks to catch up on!
over 150 fish have been banked over the last fortnight the biggest going over 18lb,there seems to be a lot of 16's and 17's coming out, these are coming from all pegs so the fish are definitely spread out
There have been two lake exclusive bookings over the last 2 weekends and most people have caughtwith a good few pb's on the way.Sandwiched in between was a cracking session for lee (yorkyrmcdo) who banked 33 fish from peg 10.Lots of different baits are working - tiger nuts pink pop ups and luncheon meat to name a few.Considering the weather i think the lake has fished quite well.
Check out the forum for photos some of the members catches
we have kindly been given a fantastic set of photos by phil as well as on the forum these have now been incorporated into the website which incidentally is getting an enormous amount of hits per day including visits from norway and Russia!!?
Regular vistors to the forum will have noticed i have donated the lake to 'carp for cancer' for 24 hours. All proceeds will go to cancer research.I will publish more details when available.

Hi Guys
The lake has fished reasonably well this week despite not that many been on,again most people caught and all pegs produced.Best catch of the week went to Mark Green on his first visit managed 14 fish to 15lb caught on boilies fished as a stringer (Mark is going to do a write up on the forum so see that for the type of boilies used) other baits that worked this week were corn - both natural and plastic.white chocolate bottom bait boilies and Kelly as usual caught well off the top with 8 fish off the dam wall in 2 hours biggest 16.5lb.
Well we managed to get the caravan sited this week, big thanks to carl for giving us the caravan, the plan is for us to provide a very cheap good quality breakfast facility for you guys,I'll keep you posted when this is available.I need an electrician to help with the dc side of the van as the mains facility works but the battery side doesn't,so if there are any electricians amongst our members please get in touch. The area in front of the caravan has been levelled and woodchipped with seating to follow. We have also put up the sign in front which spells the lake name in plants! had some nice compliments on that already.
The lake has greened up nicely now and is starting to look quite stunning,we have a group of 11 ducklings which are obviously cute and the kingfishers have been sighted for the first time this week so it won't be long before we see the huge shoals of last years fry appearing for them to feed on.
Next weekend we have the Yorkshirefishing.net Mods day which i'm quite looking forward to,meeting the rest of their team and thanking them for their support with the setting up of the lake.Hopefully they'll all catch a few fish too.
Still no sign of herpes or any of the other big girls this week but i think over the course of the next 3 weeks something special will come out as the fish feed up prior to spawning, i've had quite a few people say they've seen some bigger fish cruising around - they can't avoid us forever

Hi guys sorry this is a day late
Well 10 minutes after hitting the send button for last week’s newsletter I received a phone call today that a 19.75lb fish had been caught off the top from the stalking area.

This fish caught by Jamie from Pickering is now the official lake record so well done Jamie.
The fishing this week has been really good, 75 fish were caught in total. The figures I report are from Sunday night to Sunday dinner time, there was one person on Saturday then nobody until Friday, then 17 on over the weekend.

Not a massive amount to report this week, the fishing has been pretty good this week with within the region of 60 - 70 fish caught.

The week started fantastically well with 18 fish out on Sunday night the steady catches through the week then it went pear shaped on Saturday with only a couple of fish out.
